¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where ^(A)the Spirit of the Lord is, ^(B)there is freedom.

Follow the Spirit

5 ^(A)It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore ^(B)keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a ^(C)yoke of slavery.

¹⁸ But if you are ^(A)led by the Spirit, ^(B)you are not under the Law.

²³ For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his ^[a]natural face ^(A)in a mirror; ²⁴ for once he has looked at himself and gone away, ^[b]he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. ²⁵ But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, ^(B)the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but ^[c]an active doer, this person will be ^(C)blessed in ^[d]what he does.

² For ^(A)the law of the Spirit of life ^[a]in ^(B)Christ Jesus ^(C)has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

²¹ that ^(A)the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

¹² So speak, and so act, as those who are to be judged by ^(A)the law of freedom.
