¹⁵ For we are to God the fragrance of Christ ^(A)among those who are being saved and ^(B)among those who are perishing.

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God ^(C)for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Christ the Power and Wisdom of God^(A)

¹⁸ For the ^[a]message of the cross is ^(B)foolishness to ^(C)those who are perishing, but to us ^(D)who are being saved it is the ^(E)power of God.

⁴¹ I will accept you as a ^(A)sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles.

¹⁸ Indeed I ^[a]have all and abound. I am full, having received from ^(A)Epaphroditus the things sent from you, ^(B)a sweet-smelling aroma, ^(C)an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

³ But even if our gospel is veiled, ^(A)it is veiled to those who are perishing, ⁴ whose minds ^(B)the god of this age ^(C)has blinded, who do not believe, lest ^(D)the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, ^(E)who is the image of God, should shine on them.

¹⁰ and with all unrighteous deception among ^(A)those who perish, because they did not receive ^(B)the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

²¹ And the Lord smelled ^(A)a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again ^(B)curse the ground for man’s sake, although the ^(C)imagination^[a] of man’s heart is evil from his youth; ^(D)nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

^25 (A)You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the Lord. It is an offering made by fire to the Lord.
