⁴ For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.^(A)

There Is No Other Gospel

⁶ I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— ⁷ not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.^{(A) 8} But even if we or an angel^[a] from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel contrary to what we proclaimed to you, let that one be accursed!^(B)

⁴ there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling,^{(A) 5} one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

¹¹ For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ.^(A)

⁴ Now there are varieties of gifts but the same Spirit,^{(A) 5} and there are varieties of services but the same Lord,^{(B) 6} and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone. ⁷ To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.^{(C) 8} To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,^{(D) 9} to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,^{(E) 10} to another the working of powerful deeds, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.^{(F) 11} All these are activated by one and the same Spirit, who allots to each one individually just as the Spirit chooses.^(G)

¹⁵ For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, “Abba!^[a] Father!”^(A)

¹² “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.”^(A)

² The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?^(A)
