^10 (A)As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine ^(B)will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia.

God's Sovereign Choice

9 ^(A)I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit—

^9 (A)For God is my witness, ^(B)whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, ^(C)that without ceasing I mention you

¹² But when Gallio was ^(A)proconsul of Achaia, ^(B)the Jews^[a] made a united attack on Paul and ^(C)brought him before the tribunal,

²³ But ^(A)I call God to witness against me—it was ^(B)to spare you that I refrained from coming again to Corinth.

^7 (A)For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (^(B)I am telling the truth, I am not lying), ^(C)a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

¹⁰ You are witnesses, and ^(A)God also, ^(B)how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers.

^5 (A)For we never came with words of flattery,^[a] as you know, nor with a pretext for greed—^(B)God is witness.

⁷ so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. ⁸ For not only has the word of the Lord ^(A)sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth ^(B)everywhere, so that we need not say anything.
