⁶ For God, who said, “^(A)Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has ^(B)shone in our hearts to give the ^(C)Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

¹⁸ But we all, with unveiled faces, ^(A)looking as in a mirror at the ^(B)glory of the Lord, are being ^(C)transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from ^(D)the Lord, the Spirit.

^19 [a](A)After a little while, ^(B)the world no longer is going to see Me, but you are going to see Me; ^(C)because I live, you also will live. ^20 (D)On that day you will know that ^(E)I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I in you. ^21 (F)The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and ^(G)the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will ^(H)reveal Myself to him.” ^22 (I)Judas (not Iscariot) *said to Him, “Lord, what has happened ^(J)that You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, “^(K)If anyone loves Me, he will ^(L)follow My word; and ^(M)My Father will love him, and We ^(N)will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.

²⁸ so Christ also, having been ^(A)offered once to ^(B)bear the sins of many, will appear ^(C)a second time for ^(D)salvation ^(E)without reference to sin, to those who ^(F)eagerly await Him.

¹¹ For the grace of God has ^(A)appeared, ^[a](B)bringing salvation to all people, ^12 [b]instructing us to deny ungodliness and ^(C)worldly desires and ^(D)to live sensibly, righteously, and in a godly manner ^(E)in the present age, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope and the ^(F)appearing of the glory of ^[c](G)our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, ¹⁴ who ^(H)gave Himself for us ^(I)to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to ^(J)purify for Himself a ^(K)people for His own possession, ^(L)eager for good deeds.

⁵ who are ^(A)protected by the power of God ^(B)through faith for ^(C)a salvation ready ^(D)to be revealed in the last time. ^6 (E)In this you greatly rejoice, even though now ^(F)for a little while, ^(G)if necessary, you have been distressed by ^(H)various ^[a]trials, ⁷ so that the ^[b](I)proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes ^(J)though tested by fire, ^(K)may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at ^(L)the revelation of Jesus Christ; ⁸ and ^(M)though you have not seen Him, you ^(N)love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and ^[c]full of glory, ⁹ obtaining as ^(O)the outcome of your faith, the salvation of ^[d]your souls.

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, ^(A)looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
