10 Le vingt-troisième jour du septième mois, Salomon renvoya le peuple chez lui. Ils étaient remplis de joie et avaient le cœur content pour le bien que l'Eternel avait fait à David, à Salomon et à Israël, son peuple.

11 Lorsque Salomon eut terminé la maison de l'Eternel et le palais royal et qu'il eut réussi à accomplir tout ce qu'il avait décidé de faire dans la maison de l'Eternel et dans sa propre maison, 12 l'Eternel lui apparut pendant la nuit et lui dit: «J'exauce ta prière et je choisis cet endroit comme le temple où l'on devra m'offrir des sacrifices.

10 And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the Lord had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.

11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

10 (A)On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel. 11 Thus (B)Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s house; and Solomon successfully accomplished all that came into his heart to make in the house of the Lord and in his own house.
