²⁰ that Your ^(A)eye will be open toward this house day and night, toward ^(B)the place of which You have said that You would put Your name there, to listen to the prayer which Your servant shall pray toward this place.

²⁷ then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of Your servants and Your people Israel; indeed, ^(A)teach them the good way in which they are to walk. And provide rain on Your land, which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.

³⁸ Give, and it will be given to you. They will ^[a]pour ^(A)into your lap a ^(B)good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”

^2 (A)By this we know that ^(B)we love the children of God, when we love God and ^[a]follow His commandments. ³ For ^(C)this is the love of God, that we ^(D)keep His commandments; and ^(E)His commandments are not burdensome.
