31 When all this had ended, the Israelites who were there went out to the towns of Judah, smashed the sacred stones and cut down(A) the Asherah poles. They destroyed the high places and the altars throughout Judah and Benjamin and in Ephraim and Manasseh. After they had destroyed all of them, the Israelites returned to their own towns and to their own property.
Contributions for Worship(B)
2 Hezekiah(C) assigned the priests and Levites to divisions(D)—each of them according to their duties as priests or Levites—to offer burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, to minister,(E) to give thanks and to sing praises(F) at the gates of the Lord’s dwelling.(G) 3 The king contributed(H) from his own possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings and for the burnt offerings on the Sabbaths, at the New Moons and at the appointed festivals as written in the Law of the Lord.(I) 4 He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion(J) due the priests and Levites so they could devote themselves to the Law of the Lord. 5 As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits(K) of their grain, new wine,(L) olive oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything. 6 The people of Israel and Judah who lived in the towns of Judah also brought a tithe(M) of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things dedicated to the Lord their God, and they piled them in heaps.(N) 7 They began doing this in the third month and finished in the seventh month.(O) 8 When Hezekiah and his officials came and saw the heaps, they praised the Lord and blessed(P) his people Israel.
9 Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps; 10 and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok,(Q) answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the Lord has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”(R)
11 Hezekiah gave orders to prepare storerooms in the temple of the Lord, and this was done. 12 Then they faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes and dedicated gifts. Konaniah,(S) a Levite, was the overseer in charge of these things, and his brother Shimei was next in rank. 13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad,(T) Eliel, Ismakiah, Mahath and Benaiah were assistants of Konaniah and Shimei his brother. All these served by appointment of King Hezekiah and Azariah the official in charge of the temple of God.
14 Kore son of Imnah the Levite, keeper of the East Gate, was in charge of the freewill offerings given to God, distributing the contributions made to the Lord and also the consecrated gifts. 15 Eden,(U) Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah and Shekaniah assisted him faithfully in the towns(V) of the priests, distributing to their fellow priests according to their divisions, old and young alike.
16 In addition, they distributed to the males three years old or more whose names were in the genealogical records(W)—all who would enter the temple of the Lord to perform the daily duties of their various tasks, according to their responsibilities and their divisions. 17 And they distributed to the priests enrolled by their families in the genealogical records and likewise to the Levites twenty years old or more, according to their responsibilities and their divisions. 18 They included all the little ones, the wives, and the sons and daughters of the whole community listed in these genealogical records. For they were faithful in consecrating themselves.
19 As for the priests, the descendants of Aaron, who lived on the farmlands around their towns or in any other towns,(X) men were designated by name to distribute portions to every male among them and to all who were recorded in the genealogies of the Levites.
20 This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful(Y) before the Lord his God. 21 In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.(Z)

31 Al terminar la celebración, todos los israelitas que habían asistido salieron por las ciudades de Judá y destruyeron las estatuas y las imágenes de Asera, y derribaron los lugares altos y los altares por todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraín y Manasés, hasta acabar con todo. Después todos los israelitas volvieron a sus ciudades, cada uno a su propia casa.
Ezequías reorganiza a sacerdotes y levitas
2 Ezequías arregló la distribución de turnos de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, cada uno según su oficio. Los sacerdotes y los levitas, para ofrecer el holocausto y las ofrendas de paz, para ministrar, para dar gracias y alabar a Dios dentro de las puertas de los atrios del Señor. 3 El rey contribuyó con sus propios recursos para los holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde, y para los holocaustos de los días de reposo, nuevas lunas y fiestas solemnes, como está escrito en la ley del Señor.(A) 4 Además, ordenó a los habitantes de Jerusalén que dieran la porción correspondiente a los sacerdotes y levitas, para que ellos se dedicaran a la ley del Señor. 5 Cuando este edicto fue divulgado, los israelitas dieron muchas primicias de grano, vino, aceite y miel, y de todos los frutos de la tierra; y llevaron igualmente abundantes diezmos de todas las cosas.(B) 6 También los israelitas y los habitantes de las ciudades de Judá dieron los diezmos de las vacas y de las ovejas, y presentaron los diezmos de lo santificado y de todo lo que habían prometido al Señor su Dios, y los depositaron en montones. 7 Comenzaron a formar aquellos montones en el mes tercero, y terminaron en el mes séptimo. 8 Cuando Ezequías y los príncipes vinieron y vieron los montones, bendijeron al Señor y a su pueblo Israel. 9 Ezequías preguntó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de esos montones, 10 y el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoc, le contestó:
«Desde que comenzaron a traer las ofrendas al templo del Señor, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y nos ha sobrado mucho, porque el Señor ha bendecido a su pueblo. Esta abundancia de provisiones es lo que ha sobrado.»
11 Entonces Ezequías ordenó que se preparara espacio para ellas en el templo del Señor, y así se hizo; 12 y allí se almacenaron fielmente las primicias y los diezmos y las cosas consagradas, y como principal encargado de todo ello se puso al levita Conanías, y Simey su hermano fue nombrado su ayudante. 13 Por orden del rey Ezequías, y de Azarías, príncipe del templo de Dios, los mayordomos al servicio de Conanías y de su hermano Simey eran Yejiel, Azazías, Najat, Asael, Jerimot, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismaquías, Majat y Benaías. 14 El levita Coré hijo de Imna quedó a cargo de la puerta oriental, de las ofrendas voluntarias para Dios, de la distribución de las ofrendas dedicadas al Señor, y de los objetos consagrados. 15 A su servicio estaban Edén, Miniamín, Josué, Semaías, Amarías y Secanías, en las ciudades de los sacerdotes, para dar con fidelidad a sus hermanos, mayores y menores, sus porciones conforme a sus grupos, 16 a los varones mayores de tres años anotados en orden de sus linajes, y a todos los que entraban en el templo del Señor para desempeñar su ministerio, según sus oficios y grupos. 17 También a los que eran contados entre los sacerdotes, según sus casas paternas, y a los levitas mayores de veinte años, conforme a sus oficios y grupos. 18 Eran inscritos con todos sus niños, mujeres, hijos e hijas, es decir, con toda la familia, porque se consagraban con fidelidad a las cosas santas. 19 Del mismo modo, los varones nombrados tenían el encargo de dar sus porciones, por todas las ciudades, a todos los varones de entre los sacerdotes, y a todo el linaje de los levitas, y a los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón que estaban en los ejidos de sus ciudades.
20 Así lo hizo Ezequías en todo Judá, y llevó a cabo lo bueno, lo recto y lo verdadero delante del Señor su Dios. 21 En todo lo que emprendió para el servicio del templo de Dios, buscó a su Dios, y lo hizo de todo corazón y de acuerdo con la ley y los mandamientos, y fue prosperado.
