^7 (A)Do not be like your fathers and your brothers, who were untrue to the Lord God of their fathers, so that ^(B)He made them an object of horror, just as you see. ⁸ Now do not ^(C)stiffen your neck like your fathers, but ^[a]yield to the Lord and enter His sanctuary which He has consecrated forever, and serve the Lord your God, ^(D)that His burning anger may turn away from you. ⁹ For ^(E)if you return to the Lord, your brothers and your sons will find compassion in the presence of those who led them captive, and will return to this land. ^(F)For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate, and will not turn His face away from you if you return to Him.”

⁶ “^(A)Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

⁴ Again he ^(A)sent other slaves, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened cattle are all butchered and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’ ⁵ But they paid no attention and went their separate ways, one to his own ^[a]farm, another to his business, ⁶ and the rest seized his slaves and treated them abusively, and then killed them.
