⁸ He built the Most Holy Place,^(A) its length corresponding to the width of the temple—twenty cubits long and twenty cubits wide. He overlaid the inside with six hundred talents^[a] of fine gold.

³³ Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain.^(A) The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.^(B)

A Call to Persevere in Faith

¹⁹ Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence^(A) to enter the Most Holy Place^(B) by the blood of Jesus,

⁹ This is an illustration^(A) for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered^(B) were not able to clear the conscience^(C) of the worshiper.

³ Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,^(A)

¹⁹ He prepared the inner sanctuary^(A) within the temple to set the ark of the covenant^(B) of the Lord there. ²⁰ The inner sanctuary^(C) was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.^(D)

¹⁶ He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.^(A)
