² But ^(A)Jehu the son of ^(B)Hanani ^(C)the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you ^(D)help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, ^(E)wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

^11 (A)Take no part in the ^(B)unfruitful ^(C)works of darkness, but instead ^(D)expose them.

¹⁰ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, ^(A)do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, ¹¹ for whoever greets him ^(B)takes part in his wicked works.

^4 (A)You adulterous people!^[a] Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? ^(B)Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

²⁵ But Hezekiah ^(A)did not make return according to the benefit done to him, for ^(B)his heart was proud. Therefore ^(C)wrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁸ And they abandoned the house of the Lord, the God of their fathers, and served ^(A)the Asherim and the idols. And ^(B)wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.

³⁴ Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of ^(A)Jehu the son of Hanani, ^(B)which are recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel.

³ Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, “Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?” He answered him, “I am as you are, my people as your people. We will be with you in the war.”
