¹⁸ Huram sent him, in the care of his servants, ships and servants familiar with the sea. They went to Ophir together with the servants of Solomon and imported from there four hundred fifty talents of gold and brought it to King Solomon.^(A)

¹⁰ Moreover, the servants of Huram and the servants of Solomon who brought gold from Ophir brought algum wood and precious stones.^(A)

Solomon’s Great Wealth

¹³ The weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,^(A)

⁸ I also gathered for myself silver and gold and the treasure of kings and of the provinces; I got singers, both men and women, and delights of the flesh, many concubines.^[a](A)

²² For the king had a fleet of ships of Tarshish at sea with the fleet of Hiram. Once every three years the fleet of ships of Tarshish used to come bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.^[a](A)

²⁷ Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, sailors who were familiar with the sea, together with the servants of Solomon.^{(A) 28} They went to Ophir and imported from there four hundred twenty talents of gold that they delivered to King Solomon.^(B)
