¹⁶ All Solomon’s work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid until its completion. So the temple of the Lord was finished.

⁷ In building the temple, only blocks dressed^(A) at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool^(B) was heard at the temple site while it was being built.

¹⁸ The craftsmen of Solomon and Hiram^(A) and workers from Byblos^(B) cut and prepared the timber and stone for the building of the temple.
