^7 (A)And Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, for there he offered the burnt offering and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar Solomon had made could not hold the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat.

¹⁰ We have an altar ^(A)from which those who serve the tent^[a] have no right to eat. ¹¹ For ^(B)the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned ^(C)outside the camp. ¹² So Jesus also ^(D)suffered ^(E)outside the gate in order to sanctify the people ^(F)through his own blood.

⁶⁴ The same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was before the house of the Lord, for there he offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings, because ^(A)the bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to receive the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat pieces of the peace offerings.

⁶⁵ So Solomon held ^(B)the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly, from ^(C)Lebo-hamath to ^(D)the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days.^{[a] 66} On the eighth day he sent the people away, and they blessed the king and went to their homes joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had shown to David his servant and to Israel his people.

¹⁴ All the officers of the priests and the people likewise were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations. And they polluted the house of the Lord that he had made holy in Jerusalem.

The Temple's Furnishings

4 He made ^(A)an altar of bronze, twenty cubits^[a] long and twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.

³⁷ “Tell Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest to take up the censers out of the blaze. Then scatter the fire far and wide, for they have become holy. ³⁸ As for the censers of ^(A)these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives, let them be made into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they offered them before the Lord, and they became holy. ^(B)Thus they shall be a sign to the people of Israel.”
