^20 (A)then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have ^[a]sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a ^(B)byword among all peoples.

²⁰ And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel, afflicted them, and ^(A)delivered them into the hand of plunderers, until He had cast them from His ^(B)sight.

³⁷ And you shall become ^(A)an^[a] astonishment, a proverb, ^(B)and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you.

⁴ “Thus you shall say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, ^(A)what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land.

⁹ I will deliver them to ^(A)trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for their harm, ^(B)to be a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.

¹⁵ For the Lord will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water. He will ^(A)uproot Israel from this ^(B)good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them ^(C)beyond ^[a]the River, ^(D)because they have made their ^[b]wooden images, provoking the Lord to anger.

^7 (A)then I will ^[a]cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house which I have consecrated ^(B)for My name I will cast out of My sight. ^(C)Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

²⁸ And the Lord ^(A)uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’
