¹⁴ and the priests could not perform^(A) their service because of the cloud,^(B) for the glory^(C) of the Lord filled the temple of God.

³⁵ Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory^(A) of the Lord filled the tabernacle.^(B)

¹¹ And the priests could not perform their service^(A) because of the cloud, for the glory^(B) of the Lord filled his temple.

⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke^(A) from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple^(B) until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

Isaiah’s Commission

6 In the year that King Uzziah^(A) died,^(B) I saw the Lord,^(C) high and exalted,^(D) seated on a throne;^(E) and the train of his robe^(F) filled the temple. ² Above him were seraphim,^(G) each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet,^(H) and with two they were flying. ³ And they were calling to one another:

⁴ At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.^(M)

¹⁶ who alone is immortal^(A) and who lives in unapproachable light,^(B) whom no one has seen or can see.^(C) To him be honor and might forever. Amen.^(D)

⁴ Then the glory of the Lord^(A) rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the Lord.
