⁸ With him is an ^(A)arm of flesh; but ^(B)with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

⁵ Thus says the Lord:

^17 (A)You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, ^(B)for the Lord is with you.”

The Lord Is Faithful

^17 (A)But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, ^(B)so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered ^(C)out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁵ And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ^(A)‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, ^(B)for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

^10 (A)for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than ^(A)he who is in the world.

¹² Now look, God Himself is with us as our ^(A)head, ^(B)and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!”
