^7 (A)“Be strong and courageous. ^(B)Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, ^(C)for there are more with us than with him.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? ^(A)If God is for us, who can be^[a] against us?

¹⁶ He said, “Do not be afraid, ^(A)for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

The Whole Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, ^(A)be strong in the Lord and in ^(B)the strength of his might.

⁴ Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for ^(A)he who is in you is greater than ^(B)he who is in the world.

¹⁵ And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the Lord to you, ^(A)‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, ^(B)for the battle is not yours but God's.

⁹ Thus says the Lord of hosts: ^(A)“Let your hands be strong, you who in these days have been hearing these words from the mouth of ^(B)the prophets who were present on ^(C)the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.

³⁰ Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord by saying, The Lord will surely deliver us, and this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.’

²³ Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ^(A)ten men ^(B)from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for ^(C)we have heard that God is with you.’”
