²⁹ Moreover he provided cities for himself, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance; for ^(A)God had given him very much property.

Instructions to the Rich

¹⁷ Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain ^(A)riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things ^(B)to enjoy. ¹⁸ Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,

¹² Now the Lord blessed ^(A)the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had ^(B)fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.

⁹ So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?
