⁵ As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance ^(A)the firstfruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the ^(B)tithe of everything.

^12 (A)Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain and the new wine and the oil to the storehouse.

³¹ and to bringing ^(A)the wood offering and the firstfruits at appointed times.

^(B)Remember me, O my God, for good!

Temple Responsibilities

^44 (A)And at the same time some were appointed over the rooms of the storehouse for the offerings, the firstfruits, and the ^(B)tithes, to gather into them from the fields of the cities the portions specified by the Law for the priests and Levites; for Judah rejoiced over the priests and Levites who ^[a]ministered.

³⁵ And we made ordinances ^(A)to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year, to the house of the Lord; ³⁶ to bring the ^(B)firstborn of our sons and our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and our flocks, to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God; ^37 (C)to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the ^[a]house of our God; and to bring ^(D)the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites should receive the tithes in all our farming communities. ³⁸ And the priest, the descendant of Aaron, shall be with the Levites ^(E)when the Levites receive tithes; and the Levites shall bring up a tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to ^(F)the rooms of the storehouse.

³⁹ For the children of Israel and the children of Levi ^(G)shall bring the offering of the grain, of the new wine and the oil, to the storerooms where the articles of the sanctuary are, where the priests who minister and the gatekeepers ^(H)and the singers are; and we will not ^(I)neglect the house of our God.

¹⁰ Then all the leaders and all the people rejoiced, brought their contributions, and put them into the chest until all had given. ¹¹ So it was, at that time, when the chest was brought to the king’s official by the hand of the Levites, and ^(A)when they saw that there was much money, that the king’s scribe and the high priest’s officer came and emptied the chest, and took it and returned it to its place. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.

⁵ and they spoke to Moses, saying, ^(A)“The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”

⁶ So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing,

The Tabernacle Offerings Presented

²⁰ And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. ²¹ Then everyone came ^(A)whose heart ^[a]was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing, and they ^(B)brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tabernacle of meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments. ²² They came, both men and women, as many as had a willing heart, and brought ^(C)earrings and nose rings, rings and necklaces, all ^(D)jewelry of gold, that is, every man who made an offering of gold to the Lord. ²³ And ^(E)every man, with whom was found blue, purple, and scarlet thread, fine linen, and goats’ hair, red skins of rams, and ^[b]badger skins, brought them. ²⁴ Everyone who offered an offering of silver or bronze brought the Lord’s offering. And everyone with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it. ²⁵ All the women who were ^(F)gifted artisans spun yarn with their hands, and brought what they had spun, of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. ²⁶ And all the women whose hearts ^[c]stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair. ^27 (G)The rulers brought onyx stones, and the stones to be set in the ephod and in the breastplate, ²⁸ and ^(H)spices and oil for the light, for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense. ²⁹ The children of Israel brought a ^(I)freewill offering to the Lord, all the men and women whose hearts were willing to bring material for all kinds of work which the Lord, by the hand of Moses, had commanded to be done.
