⁵ As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits^(A) of their grain, new wine,^(B) olive oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.

¹² All Judah brought the tithes^(A) of grain, new wine and olive oil into the storerooms.^(B)

³¹ I also made provision for contributions of wood^(A) at designated times, and for the firstfruits.^(B)

Remember^(C) me with favor, my God.

⁴⁴ At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms^(A) for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes.^(B) From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.^(C)

¹⁰ All the officials and all the people brought their contributions gladly,^(A) dropping them into the chest until it was full. ¹¹ Whenever the chest was brought in by the Levites to the king’s officials and they saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this regularly and collected a great amount of money.

⁵ and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough^(A) for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

⁶ Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: “No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” And so the people were restrained from bringing more,

²⁰ Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence, ²¹ and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. ²² All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the Lord. ²³ Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn^(A) or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them. ²⁴ Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the Lord, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. ²⁵ Every skilled woman^(B) spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. ²⁶ And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. ²⁷ The leaders^(C) brought onyx stones and other gems^(D) to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. ²⁸ They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.^{(E) 29} All the Israelite men and women who were willing^(F) brought to the Lord freewill offerings^(G) for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do.
