²⁰ This is what Hezekiah did throughout Judah, doing what was good and right and faithful^(A) before the Lord his God.

³ “Remember,^(A) Lord, how I have walked^(B) before you faithfully^(C) and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

² He did what was right^(A) in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right^(B) or to the left.

¹⁶ So I strive always to keep my conscience clear^(A) before God and man.

⁵ Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters,^[a](A) even though they are strangers to you.^(B)

¹⁰ You are witnesses,^(A) and so is God,^(B) of how holy,^(C) righteous and blameless we were among you who believed.

⁵ For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep^(A) any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life—except in the case of Uriah^(B) the Hittite.
