¹⁹ Also for the sons of Aaron the priests, who were in ^(A)the fields of the common-lands of their cities, in every single city, there were men who were ^(B)designated by name to distribute portions to all the males among the priests and to all who were listed by genealogies among the Levites.

¹² Then they faithfully brought in the offerings, the tithes, and the dedicated things; ^(A)Cononiah the Levite had charge of them, and Shimei his brother was the next. ¹³ Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king and Azariah the ^(B)ruler of the house of God. ¹⁴ Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the keeper of the East Gate, was over the ^(C)freewill offerings to God, to distribute the offerings of the Lord and the most holy things. ¹⁵ And under him were ^(D)Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, his faithful assistants in ^(E)the cities of the priests, to distribute ^(F)allotments to their brethren by divisions, to the great as well as the small.

^2 (A)“Command the children of Israel that they give the Levites cities to dwell in from the inheritance of their possession, and you shall also give the Levites ^(B)common-land around the cities. ³ They shall have the cities to dwell in; and their common-land shall be for their cattle, for their herds, and for all their animals. ⁴ The common-land of the cities which you will give the Levites shall extend from the wall of the city outward a thousand cubits all around. ⁵ And you shall measure outside the city on the east side two thousand cubits, on the south side two thousand cubits, on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits. The city shall be in the middle. This shall belong to them as common-land for the cities.

³⁴ But ^(A)the field of the common-land of their cities may not be ^(B)sold, for it is their perpetual possession.

¹⁵ Then the men ^(A)who were designated by name rose up and took the captives, and from the ^[a]spoil they clothed all who were naked among them, dressed them and gave them sandals, ^(B)gave them food and drink, and anointed them; and they let all the feeble ones ride on donkeys. So they brought them to their brethren at Jericho, ^(C)the city of palm trees. Then they returned to Samaria.

⁶⁰ And from the tribe of Benjamin: Geba with its common-lands, ^[a]Alemeth with its common-lands, and Anathoth with its common-lands. All their cities among their families were thirteen.
