¹⁶ They stood in their ^(A)place ^[a]according to their custom, according to the Law of Moses the man of God; the priests sprinkled the blood received from the hand of the Levites.

¹⁵ And the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their places, according to the ^(A)command of David, Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun the king’s seer. Also the gatekeepers ^(B)were at each gate; they did not have to leave their position, because their brethren the Levites prepared portions for them.

Moses’ Final Blessing on Israel

33 Now this is ^(A)the blessing with which Moses ^(B)the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

²⁸ By faith ^(A)he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

¹⁰ So the service was prepared, and the priests ^(A)stood in their places, and the ^(B)Levites in their divisions, according to the king’s command. ¹¹ And they slaughtered the Passover offerings; and the priests ^(C)sprinkled the blood with their hands, while the Levites ^(D)skinned the animals.

¹⁴ When she looked, there was the king standing by ^(A)a pillar according to custom; and the leaders and the trumpeters were by the king. All the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. So Athaliah tore her clothes and cried out, “Treason! Treason!”

⁵ He shall kill the ^(A)bull before the Lord; ^(B)and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall bring the blood ^(C)and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
