²¹ And they brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven lambs, and seven male goats ^(A)for a sin offering for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah. And he commanded the priests, the sons of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the Lord.

³ if it is the anointed priest who ^(A)sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed ^(B)a bull from the herd without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering. ⁴ He shall bring the bull to the ^(C)entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord and lay his hand on the head of the bull and kill the bull before the Lord. ⁵ And the anointed priest ^(D)shall take some of the blood of the bull and bring it into the tent of meeting, ⁶ and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and ^(E)sprinkle part of the blood seven times before the Lord in front of the veil of the sanctuary. ⁷ And the priest ^(F)shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the Lord that is in the tent of meeting, and ^(G)all the rest of the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. ⁸ And all the fat of the bull of the sin offering he shall remove from it, ^(H)the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails ^9 (I)and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys ¹⁰ (just as these are taken from the ox of the sacrifice of the peace offerings); and the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering. ¹¹ But ^(J)the skin of the bull and all its flesh, with its head, its legs, its entrails, and its dung— ¹² all the rest of the bull—he shall carry ^(K)outside the camp to a clean place, to the ash heap, and shall ^(L)burn it up on a fire of wood. On the ash heap it shall be burned up.

^13 (M)“If the whole congregation of Israel sins unintentionally^[a] and ^(N)the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, and they do any one of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, and they realize their guilt,^{[b] 14 (O)}when the sin which they have committed becomes known, the assembly shall offer a bull from the herd for a sin offering and bring it in front of the tent of meeting.

²³ And on ^(A)the seven days of the festival he shall provide as a burnt offering to the Lord seven young bulls and seven rams without blemish, on each of the seven days; and ^(B)a male goat daily for a sin offering.

⁸ Now therefore take ^(A)seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and ^(B)offer up a burnt offering for yourselves. And my servant Job shall ^(C)pray for you, for I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.”

³⁵ At that time ^(A)those who had come from captivity, the returned exiles, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel, ^(B)twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and as a sin offering twelve male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the Lord.

²⁶ And because God helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they sacrificed ^(A)seven bulls and seven rams.

²⁹ And Balaam said to Balak, ^(A)“Build for me here seven altars and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams.”

¹⁴ And he took him to the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, ^(A)and built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.

Balaam's First Oracle

23 And Balaam said to Balak, ^(A)“Build for me here seven altars, and prepare for me here seven bulls and seven rams.”
