⁹ Moreover Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the Corner Gate, at the Valley Gate, and at the Angle and fortified them.^(A)

¹³ Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the Valley Gate; they rebuilt it and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.^(A)

²³ King Joash of Israel captured King Amaziah of Judah son of Joash son of Ahaziah at Beth-shemesh; he brought him to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate, a distance of four hundred cubits.^(A)

¹⁰ The whole land shall be turned into a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem. But Jerusalem^[a] shall remain aloft on its site from the Gate of Benjamin to the place of the former gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king’s winepresses.^(A)

Jerusalem to Be Enlarged

³⁸ The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.^(A)

³² And between the upper room of the corner and the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.^(A)

²⁴ After him Binnui son of Henadad repaired another section, from the house of Azariah to the Angle and to the corner.^(A)

¹⁹ next to him Ezer son of Jeshua, ruler^[a] of Mizpah, repaired another section opposite the ascent to the armory at the Angle.^{(A) 20} After him Baruch son of Zabbai repaired another section from the Angle to the door of the house of the high priest Eliashib.^(B)

¹⁵ So I went up by way of the valley by night and inspected the wall. Then I turned back and entered by the Valley Gate and so returned.
