² Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from ^[a]Syria; and they are ^(A)in Hazazon Tamar” (which is ^(B)En Gedi).

⁷ Then they turned back and came to En Mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and attacked all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites who dwelt ^(A)in Hazezon Tamar.

²⁹ Then David went up from there and dwelt in strongholds at ^(A)En Gedi.

¹² the border shall go down along the Jordan, and it shall end at ^(A)the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its surrounding boundaries.’ ”
