^10 (A)And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they made no war against Jehoshaphat.

¹⁴ And they attacked all the cities around ^(A)Gerar, ^(B)for the fear of the Lord was upon them. They plundered all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.

^9 (A)For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those ^(B)whose heart is blameless^[a] toward him. ^(C)You have done foolishly in this, for from now on ^(D)you will have wars.”

²⁴ For I will ^(A)cast out nations before you and ^(B)enlarge your borders; ^(C)no one shall covet your land, when you go up to appear before the Lord your God three times in the year.

⁵ And as they journeyed, a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

⁹ and said to the men, “I know that the Lord has given you the land, ^(A)and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land ^(B)melt away before you. ¹⁰ For we have heard how the Lord ^(C)dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and ^(D)what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to ^(E)Sihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction.^{[a] 11} And ^(F)as soon as we heard it, ^(G)our hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in any man because of you, for ^(H)the Lord your God, he is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath.
