²¹ But Abijah grew mighty, married fourteen wives, and begot twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

²¹ Now Rehoboam loved Maachah the granddaughter of Absalom more than all his ^(A)wives and his concubines; for he took eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and begot twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.

¹² So David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel, and that He had ^(A)exalted His kingdom ^(B)for the sake of His people Israel.

¹³ And ^(C)David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he had come from Hebron. Also more sons and daughters were born to David.

³⁰ Gideon had ^(A)seventy sons who were his own offspring, for he had many wives. ^31 (B)And his concubine who was in Shechem also bore him a son, whose name he called Abimelech.
