¹⁶ The Israelites fled before Judah, and God gave them into their hands.^(A)

⁸ Were not the Cushites and the Libyans a huge army with exceedingly many chariots and cavalry? Yet because you relied on the Lord, he gave them into your hand.^(A)

⁷ Now it was told Saul that David had come to Keilah. And Saul said, “God has given^[a] him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.”

²¹ Then the Lord, the God of Israel, gave Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they defeated them, so Israel occupied all the land of the Amorites, who inhabited that country.^(A)

⁴ Then Judah went up, and the Lord gave the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand, and they defeated ten thousand of them at Bezek.^(A)

⁴⁴ And the Lord gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their ancestors; not one of all their enemies had withstood them, for the Lord had given all their enemies into their hands.^(A)

¹² On the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the Lord, and he said in the sight of Israel,

³ So the Lord our God also handed over to us King Og of Bashan and all his people. We struck him down until not a single survivor was left.^(A)

³⁶ From Aroer on the edge of the Wadi Arnon (including the town that is in the wadi itself) as far as Gilead, there was no citadel too high for us. The Lord our God gave everything to us.^(A)

And Abram gave him one-tenth of everything.^(A)
