²⁰ Then he married Maakah^(A) daughter of Absalom, who bore him Abijah,^(B) Attai, Ziza and Shelomith.

² and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother’s name was Maakah,^[a](A) a daughter^[b] of Uriel of Gibeah.

There was war between Abijah^(B) and Jeroboam.^(C)

¹⁶ Rehoboam^(A) rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David. And Abijah^(B) his son succeeded him as king.

²¹ Rehoboam loved Maakah daughter of Absalom more than any of his other wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives^(A) and sixty concubines, twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.

15 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah^[a] became king of Judah, ² and he reigned in Jerusalem three years. His mother’s name was Maakah^(B) daughter of Abishalom.^[b]
