2 Corinthians 4:8-11

⁸We are experiencing trouble on every side,^[a] but are not crushed; we are perplexed,^[b] but not driven to despair; ⁹we are persecuted, but not abandoned;^[c] we are knocked down,^[d] but not destroyed, ¹⁰always carrying around in our body the death of Jesus,^[e] so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible^[f] in our body. ¹¹For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible^[g] in our mortal body.^[h]

¹⁰Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

¹¹For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. ¹⁰Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.

¹¹Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies.
