7 who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth. 8 As Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith; 9 but they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.

7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.(A) 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses,(B) so also these teachers oppose(C) the truth. They are men of depraved minds,(D) who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men,(E) their folly will be clear to everyone.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
