¹⁷ and their ^[a]talk will spread like ^[b]gangrene. Among them are ^(A)Hymenaeus and Philetus, ¹⁸ men who have gone astray from the truth, claiming that ^(B)the resurrection has already taken place; and they are jeopardizing ^(C)the faith of some. ¹⁹ Nevertheless, the ^(D)firm foundation of God stands, having this ^(E)seal: “^(F)The Lord knows those who are His;” and, “^(G)Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to keep away from wickedness.”
