For God has not given us a spirit of fear,(A) but one of power,[a](B) love,(C) and sound judgment.

Not Ashamed of the Gospel

So don’t be ashamed(D) of the testimony about our Lord,(E) or of me his prisoner.(F) Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power(G) of God. He has saved us and called us with a holy calling,(H) not according to our works,(I) but according to his own purpose(J) and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
