5 (A)And when the (B)Syrians of Damascus came to help (C)Hadadezer king of (D)Zobah, David struck down 22,000 men of the Syrians. 6 Then David put garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Syrians (E)became servants to David and brought tribute. (F)And the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went. 7 And David took (G)the shields of gold that were carried by the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.

5 When the Arameans of Damascus(A) came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of them. 6 He put garrisons(B) in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject(C) to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went.(D)
7 David took the gold shields(E) that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
