¹² When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.^{(A) 13} He will build a house for My name,^(B) and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.^(C)

⁵ So I plan to build a temple for the name of Yahweh my God,^(A) according to what the Lord promised my father David: ‘I will put your son on your throne in your place, and he will build the temple for My name.’^(B)

⁴⁷ But it was Solomon who built Him a house.^(A)
