Uzzah and the Ark
5 And David and all the house of Israel were celebrating before the Lord, with (A)songs[a] and lyres and harps and tambourines and castanets and cymbals. 6 And when they came to the threshing floor of (B)Nacon, Uzzah (C)put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and (D)God struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside the ark of God.

5 David and all Israel were celebrating(A) with all their might before the Lord, with castanets,[a] harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums and cymbals.(B)
6 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah reached out and took hold of(C) the ark of God, because the oxen stumbled. 7 The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act;(D) therefore God struck him down,(E) and he died there beside the ark of God.
