3 even though the people of Beeroth had fled to Gittaim. They still live there today. 4 In addition, Saul’s son Jonathan had a son who was crippled. When the boy was five years old, the news about ⌞the death of⌟ Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and fled ⌞to Gittaim⌟. She was in a hurry when she left, and he fell ⌞from her arms⌟ and became disabled. His name was Mephibosheth.)

3 because the people of Beeroth fled to Gittaim(A) and have resided there as foreigners to this day.
4 (Jonathan(B) son of Saul had a son who was lame in both feet. He was five years old when the news(C) about Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel. His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to leave, he fell and became disabled.(D) His name was Mephibosheth.)(E)
5 Now Rekab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, set out for the house of Ish-Bosheth,(F) and they arrived there in the heat of the day while he was taking his noonday rest.(G)
