2 Samuel 24:7-9
International Standard Version
7 and arrived at the fortified city of Tyre and all of the towns of the Hivites and Canaanites.
Eventually they proceeded to Beer-sheba in the Judean Negev.[a] 8 After they had traveled throughout the entire land, they returned to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and 20 days. 9 Joab reported the total number of men to the king. In Israel there were 800,000 men trained for war.[b] In Judah there were 500,000.

New International Version
7 Then they went toward the fortress of Tyre(A) and all the towns of the Hivites(B) and Canaanites. Finally, they went on to Beersheba(C) in the Negev(D) of Judah.
8 After they had gone through the entire land, they came back to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
9 Joab reported the number of the fighting men to the king: In Israel there were eight hundred thousand able-bodied men who could handle a sword, and in Judah five hundred thousand.(E)
