Good News Translation
6 and on to Gilead and to Kadesh, in Hittite territory.[a] Then they went to Dan, and from Dan they went[b] west to Sidon. 7 Then they went south to the fortified city of Tyre, on to all the cities of the Hivites and the Canaanites, and finally to Beersheba, in the southern part of Judah. 8 So after nine months and twenty days they returned to Jerusalem, having traveled through the whole country.

New International Version
6 They went to Gilead and the region of Tahtim Hodshi, and on to Dan Jaan and around toward Sidon.(A) 7 Then they went toward the fortress of Tyre(B) and all the towns of the Hivites(C) and Canaanites. Finally, they went on to Beersheba(D) in the Negev(E) of Judah.
8 After they had gone through the entire land, they came back to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.
