2 Samuel 22:3-7
New American Standard Bible
3 [a](A)My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
My (B)shield and (C)the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and (D)my refuge;
My savior, You save me from violence.
4 I call upon the Lord, (E)who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies.
5 For (F)the waves of death encompassed me;
(G)The floods of [b]destruction terrified me;
6 (H)The ropes of [c]Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
7 (I)In my distress I called upon the Lord,
Yes, I called out to my God;
And from His temple He heard my voice,
And my cry for help came into His ears.
