14 And the king, and all the people who were with him, (A)arrived weary at the Jordan.[a] And there he refreshed himself.

15 (B)Now Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him. 16 And when Hushai the Archite, (C)David's friend, came to Absalom, Hushai said to Absalom, (D)“Long live the king! Long live the king!”

New International Version
14 The king and all the people with him arrived at their destination exhausted.(A) And there he refreshed himself.
The Advice of Ahithophel and Hushai
15 Meanwhile, Absalom(B) and all the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel(C) was with him. 16 Then Hushai(D) the Arkite, David’s confidant, went to Absalom and said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”
