15 Meanwhile Avshalom and all the people, the men of Isra’el, came to Yerushalayim; Achitofel was with him. 16 Hushai the Arki, David’s friend, came to Avshalom and said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”

14 The king and all the people with him arrived at their destination exhausted.(A) And there he refreshed himself.
The Advice of Ahithophel and Hushai
15 Meanwhile, Absalom(B) and all the men of Israel came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel(C) was with him. 16 Then Hushai(D) the Arkite, David’s confidant, went to Absalom and said to him, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”

16 And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
