2 Samuel 13:18-20
21st Century King James Version
18 And she had a garment of divers colors upon her, for with such robes were the king’s daughters who were virgins appareled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
19 And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colors that was on her, and laid her hand on her head and went on crying.
20 And Absalom her brother said unto her, “Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? But hold now thy peace, my sister. He is thy brother; regard not this thing.” So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absalom’s house.

2 Samuel 13:18-20
New International Version
18 So his servant put her out and bolted the door after her. She was wearing an ornate[a] robe,(A) for this was the kind of garment the virgin daughters of the king wore. 19 Tamar put ashes(B) on her head and tore the ornate robe she was wearing. She put her hands on her head and went away, weeping aloud as she went.
20 Her brother Absalom said to her, “Has that Amnon, your brother, been with you? Be quiet for now, my sister; he is your brother. Don’t take this thing to heart.” And Tamar lived in her brother Absalom’s house, a desolate woman.
