²³ so David inquired of the Lord, and he answered, “Do not go straight up, but circle around behind them and attack them in front of the poplar trees.

⁶ After saying this, he spit^(A) on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. ⁷ “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”^(B) (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.^(C)

²⁹ Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”;^{(A) 30} and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.”^(B)

Jesus Calms the Storm^(A)(B)

²³ Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. ²⁴ Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. ²⁵ The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
