7 But by His word (A)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for (B)fire, kept for (C)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.
8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, (D)beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and (E)a thousand years like one day. 9 (F)The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but (G)is patient toward you, (H)not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire,(A) being kept for the day of judgment(B) and destruction of the ungodly.
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.(C) 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,(D) as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient(E) with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.(F)

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
