Jeremiah’s Message for Zedekiah

21 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh when ^(A)King Zedekiah sent to him ^(B)Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and ^(C)Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying,

²⁵ “Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Because you have sent ^(A)letters in your own name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to ^(B)Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

^29 (A)So Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet.

³ Yet ^(A)King Zedekiah sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and ^(B)Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “^(C)Please pray to Yahweh our God on our behalf.”
