Indeed, this happened to Judah at the Lord’s command to remove them from His sight.(A) It was because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all he had done,(B) and also because of all the innocent blood he had shed. He had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood,(C) and the Lord would not forgive.

The rest of the events of Jehoiakim’s reign, along with all his accomplishments, are written in the Historical Record of Judah’s Kings.(D)

Surely these things happened to Judah according to the Lord’s command,(A) in order to remove them from his presence(B) because of the sins of Manasseh(C) and all he had done, including the shedding of innocent blood.(D) For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord was not willing to forgive.(E)

As for the other events of Jehoiakim’s reign,(F) and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
