²⁰ Because of the Lord’s anger,^(A) it came to the point in Jerusalem and Judah that He finally banished them from His presence.^(B) Then, Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.^(C)

¹³ He also rebelled against^(A) King Nebuchadnezzar who had made him swear allegiance by God. He became obstinate^[a](B) and hardened his heart against returning to Yahweh, the God of Israel.
